Keep your eye on the eightballs: And to think, Republicans have spent the past two years snidely quoting Rahm Emmanuel’s line about never letting a crisis go to waste.
Further proof, as if any were needed, that if you’re smart you’ll give little credence to what Republicans say, instead being careful to watch like a hawk what they do.
What Justin Ruben said. That’s exactly what the Right has been doing — manufacturing these budget “crises” so they’ll have an excuse to abolish unions (among other Far Right goals), which they’ve been longing to do since the early 1900s.

Bee, I hope you never have to find out how much trouble I’ve gone to over the past two and a half weeks. I had to move and reconstruct the whole thing from notes, parts and pieces.
Diversion is one of their specialties, but this is more “Shock Doctrine” and exploiting the aftermath.
